Thermovision imaging and TV surveillance control system

LLC “MST STROY” implements mobile tethered balloon systems in a thermovision imaging system and TV monitor (MPAK).

MPAKis designed for: receiving streaming video of the observed object in the daytime and at night conditions in real time and its transmission to the control point. MPAK transported and placed in the cargo compartment of the car. Balloon with the hardware platform is designed to operate at any time of the day, with humidity up to 100% and a temperature of environment from -30 °С to + 40 °С.

MPAK consists of: tethered aerostat (balloon) – 2 units, a winch with a central unit and generating set, ground control point with a control unit and display, complex maintenance balloon with gas train and truck, hydro-stabilized platform with hardware video unit, power supply unit, the transmission of information, antenna-feeder devices. MPAK transported and placed in the cargo compartment of the car like pick-up.

The control item of MPAK in expanded form is located inside the vehicle. The control item provides:

ümanagement of the rotary gyro-stabilized suspension in three dimensions; ümanagement of the opto-electronic device hardware platform; üactive three-axis stabilization opto-electronic devices.

The vehicle carries:

ütransportation of staff, air segment, the hardware platform and the gas cylinders to the place of deployment and recovery of the balloon; üfilling, balloon ascent and work of the entire complex without unloading of the vehicle cylinders, generating power plant and winch; üstate of the balloon at a predetermined height and operation of its avionics.

Transceiver hardware platform MPAK provides a robust wireless connection between the hardware platform and the control item. Maximum distance from the starting point of the balloon to the control item – 300 m.

Swivel hydrostability suspension provides rotation angles of opto-electronic devices:

•   azimuth - 360° x n;

•   pitch – from 0 tominus 90°;

•   roll – from  15° to minus 15°.

Swivel hydro-stabilization hanger provides turn of opto-electronic device in azimuith, pitch at a rate from 0 to 60°/с and roll inclusively between  0 and 5°/с. Swivel hydro-stabilization hanger provides  compensation fro angular displacement of the balloon envelope MPAK at a rate not exceeding 0,2 Hzwith an accuracy of 1.5 degrees.
